I’m Melissa Matias — Lead Product Designer and Founder of Lupuna Studio. I design data products the way a tree grows: from shared foundations, through clear visualizations, into experiences people trust and act on.
About
I design the layer teams live in all day: analytics, dashboards, AI onboarding, platform systems. I start with the roots — one data model, one visual language — so everything built on top feels like one product. Then I make it readable, so people decide in seconds.
A Fine Arts background from Lima, a Master's in Data Visualization from Barcelona, and +10 years leading analytics, AI, and platform design across multi-team products at Contentsquare, Zurich Insurance Group, Boehringer Ingelheim, Netquest and McCann Health Spain
Outside of product work I paint, garden, and write on Medium — slower practices that keep me close to the human side of design, and to the patience that good systems ask for.
